Just this last Sunday Southwestern hosted their monthly family night celebration. This October’s family night featured pumpkin carving and a chili dinner for our Christian family. Many thanks to Kelly Phillips and Brooke Lewis for planning this event.
Below are a few pictures from our carving event.
Aidan has joined the cub scouts and had his first event today at Camp Lazarus in Delaware, Ohio. He went to a Shoot-A-Ree where he was able to go fishing, shoot BB guns and participate in various Archery exercises. We’re very proud of Aidan and it seems that he really likes the Cub Scouts. Some pictures are on our Flickr Stream.

Aidan called me at 12:55 today to let me know that he lost his first tooth. I got another message at 1:05 PM saying that he lost his second tooth as well. Pictures to follow…

I worship and fellowship at the Southwestern Church of Christ in Grove City, Ohio.
As of last November we have been in the midst of a preacher search. Our last minister, Randy Todd and his wonderful family, left for a great opportunity in Texas. Over last two Sundays we have had tryouts with two prospective ministers.
These two weekends have been awesome. As a church we have been in each other’s homes and fellowshipping together at the church building on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We have been engaged with each other in ways that we haven’t been in six months. It’s nice to rediscover that we all really like being around each other and really want to be in fulfilling Christian relationships as a family.
This attitude is displayed in the playfulness of the cleanup time when everyone in the congregation started putting their nametags on Richard R (see picture). It was funny and to me that was a great moment to be a part of. The little things we remember.
May God bless us.

Aidan (my firstborn) started kindergarten today. Before he went he said he was kind of sad. I asked him, why he was sad? He said:
“You know how sometimes people cry when they get something new?”
